SOLAS Chapter II-2 requires every SOLAS-regulated ship built after 1st July 2014 to have the right fire safety equipment in place by 1st July 2018. Non-complying vessels can be detained, incurring significant costs and delays to their shipping schedule.

6222 VHF DSC CLASS A
In addition to complying with newest ITU493-13 GMDSS requirements, SAILOR 6222 VHF DSC Class A is one of the most advanced, high quality and powerful VHF radios available. Designed and built to meet the needs of professional mariners, SAILOR 6222 VHF DSC Class A is also the first ever DSC Class A to be rated waterproof to IPx6 and IPx8.
