FURUNO ARPA Radar FAR-28x7 series and FAR-21x7 series fully meet the latest performance standards of IMO and IEC for all ships and for ships under 10,000 GT, respectively. It is designed to meet the demands of today's maritime industry.
The FAR-21x7/28x7 series radar has DVI (Digital Video Interface) facility integrated to deliver crisp and clear radar images. Target detection is enhanced by sophisticated signal processing techniques featuring superb short range detection.
AIS information scheme can be incorporated when AIS transponder/receiver is interfaced, thereby further enhancing situation awareness of the operators. FURUNO ARPA Radar FAR-21x7/28x7 series brings greater bridge performance and enhanced navigation accuracy, increasing both operating efficiency and safety level at sea.

Navi-Radar 4000 uniquely combines radar information, navigational charts, ENC safety parameters, targets, user-maps, routes and tools for decision support, which all ensure safer navigation. With Navi-Radar 4000, chart layers can be individually configured, avoiding a cluttered radar display.
SharpEye™ S-Band radar technology meets the challenges of safety, navigation and collision avoidance at sea through a clever combination of radar techniques designed to provide the best performance in all conditions.
Solid state radar ensures extremely high reliability and low through life costs:
SharpEye™ transmits a low power patented pulse sequence, which enables short, medium and long range radar returns to be detected simultaneously, allowing the radar operator to maintain situational awareness regardless of the range scale setting of the radar display and other users of the radar can select their own radar display range scale. The detection performance of SharpEye™ with a low peak transmission power of less than 200W is equivalent to a 30kW magnetron radar.
The radar performance also increases from the transceiver being positioned upmast, thereby minimising signal loss in the waveguide as well as simplifying installation. The high reliability and lack of routine maintenance means the need to subsequently access the SharpEye™ transceiver is almost removed.
10KW X-BAND UPMAST MAGNETRON RADARThe 10kW Upmast Magnetron Radar is a low cost type approved X-Band radar designed to provide a lightweight solution meeting IMO requirements.
The compact design which includes a performance monitor provides the low noise transceiver to be contained within the antenna turning mechanism housing.
A 10kW X-Band radar is available with either a 1.3m, 1.9m or 2.5m antenna.
MANTADIGITAL™ RADAR DISPLAYMantaDigital™ is available in a variety of workstation types to meet the requirements of different vessel types and operational scenarios. It can be supplied in options ranging from a single Desktop retrofit system through to a fully inter-switched bridge system with up to six radar sensors and displays.
Display options include 22" and 26" screens, pedestal, desktop and console mount. For non pedestal configurations the processing unit requires siting appropriately.
As with the Integrated Radar Display the MantaDigital™ radar software provides a platform for ARPA radar, chart, ECDIS and Conning display options. The software is easily interacted with a 3 button trackball, keyboard and on screen prompts to assist the user.
ANTENNA SYSTEMSStandard types include patented low profile (to reduce wind loading) 1.3m, 1.9m, 2.5m X-Band and 3.9m S-Band horizontally polarised slotted waveguide open array antennas.
